Simshine Simcam introduced AI hacks with IFTTT

Shenzhen, China, September 4th, 2019— Thanks to the partnership between SimShine and IFTTT, home automation enthusiasts can now control their smart home devices in a more self-controlled way.

SimShine’s Simshine Simcam is the first AI home security camera that can identify human activities. However, it is not only about security. Since its Kickstarter launch in March 2019, Simshine Simcam had been seeking it path into the home automation realm.

IFTTT is a free service that allows users to connect multiple devices and services to work together. The connections are called Applets. They are quite useful in automating your daily routine, whether it’s your smart home devices or business workflows. An Applet is usually formed by a trigger (if this) and an action (then that). In the home automation ecosystem, a security camera often plays a trigger role.

Customers can use Simshine Simcam’s person detection, facial recognition, and object tracking as triggers to automate certain actions of other devices and services. Simshine Simcam has created several very unique applets that are ready to use. For instance, toggle up the lights or play a favorite song automatically when Simshine Simcam detects a person in a specific area. You can even make Simshine Simcam unlock the door for a specific face ID. Such uses were not possible with any other types of triggering before.
